This photograph shows a sign for an african american waiting room at the Greyhound bus station in Rome, Georgia. To me, the thing that catches my eye are the words "Colored waiting room." Because of this the photograph seem to have a very serious tone since white and black people were ususally split up like this. Two questions I would ask the photographer are why they took the picture and what were their thought of black people being discriminated everywhere including bus stations.

This photograph shows a movie theater used exclusively by african americans since they weren't allowed in the same ones as white people. There are aslo 2 african americans out front and it seems like a very cloudy day outside. The movie theater caught my eye because it is a small brick building with the black paint peeling off and is way less attractive than other movie theaters of the day. The tone is dark probably because of the condition of the movie theater and the fact that blacks and whites even had to enjoy seperate entertainment. Two questions that I would ask the photographer are what he thought of black people having to go to different places for entertainment and also what he thought of this movie theater compared to other movie theaters of the time.

This picture shows a young african american boy getting a drink from the colored water fountain. This seems to be taking place sometime during the day and takes place on the courtyard lawn. The thing that caught my eye is that black people even had to use different water fountains. This caught my eye because something that was so small was still split up between blacks and whites. If I met the photographer I would ask him what he thought about even water fountains being split between blacks and whites and what he thought about other small things like this.

This photograph shows a movie theater in Belzoni, Mississippi where African Americans are forced to go through a different entrance paying a different price. The setting looks like it is sometime during the night in the inner city. In this photograph there is an african american man walking up the steps to the entrance which he must use. I would say that the tone of this photgraph is mostly dark and negative since it shows how disrectful african americans were treated at the time. If I met the photographer I would ask her what she thought of this and whay she thought of ways they were treated at places such as movie theaters that also served whites.

This photograph shows an african man drinking from a different container of water because of his race. It is hard to ell what time of day it is since the photo is inside. The photo was taken at street car terminal in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The first thing that cought my eye is the water cooler that is labeled Colored. This caught my eye because white people were so selfish that they didn't even want african americans getting water from the same place even if they have cups to use. I think this is totally unnecessary and unfair to many African Americans. If I met the photographer I would ask him if he agreed with me and what he thought about the people who agreed with this kind of treatment to African Americans.
